The Barton Planetarium will host a double feature showing “Dinosaur Prophecy” and “Body Code” at 7 p.m. November 6 in the Barton Community College Planetarium located in the Science Building.
“Dinosaur Prophecy” will take viewers on a journey to dinosaur gravesites where they will learn about the bone structure of the creatures and see how the dinosaurs lived and died over 65 million years ago. The movie will also cover four important cases from the time of the dinosaur. “Dinosaur Prophecy” features famous creatures such as the T-Rex and Triceratops along with lesser known species.
“Body Code” takes attendees into the human body to learn about the structure. Viewers will explore an artery, the eye, brain, ear and heart. The full dome experience will also show how the DNA or “body code” programs all cells on a micro level which in the end creates the human being but also the individual. The movie concludes with a demonstration, using lasers, on how the human body fights disease.
