The Barton Community College Department of music will offer instrumental music lessons to the community this summer from now through July 23.
Community members are invited to take lessons to learn a new instrument or enhance their abilities on an instrument they already play. Students will also have the option to perform. Lessons will be offered both in-person and virtually and instruments can be provided. A wide array of instruments is available.
Director of Instrumental Activities Dr. Luis Palacios encourages people to take the first step and that playing music is very rewarding.
“I think this is a great opportunity for members of our community to explore music and try something new or improve their skills,” he said. “We also thought providing a virtual option would be really beneficial so individuals can learn from the comfort of their own home. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to develop a meaningful connection with our arts community.”
