The Barton Theatre Department will hold its last performance of the school year, the Thespian Showcase, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 6 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
Barton Theatre students will perform monologues, scenes, musical theatre, improvisation and original work. The Barton Theatre Department will hand out year-end acting and technical awards. Admission is free and complimentary refreshments will be provided at a reception following the performances and ceremony.
“The Thespian Showcase is an integral part of our two-year theatre program,” Barton Theatre Director Erin Renard said. “It allows for student creativity, leadership, nurturing of talent and provides an alternative atmosphere for performance. The showcase is also part of our year-end Barton Theatre Award Ceremony where theatre students are recognized for their excellence in stage and technical work during the academic year.”
