Do you enjoy learning about the human body and improving overall health by conditioning, training and nutrition? Do you see yourself teaching others to do the same? Barton’s Exercise Science program prepares students for transfer while providing an overall knowledge within the study of health and human movement while also focusing on safety, first aid and injury prevention.
Barton Community College's Exercise Science curriculum is designed to provide the general education requirement and core courses for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field. In addition to general education courses like Personal and Community Health, we offer other classes including Intro to Exercise Science, Intro to HPER, and Basic Nutrition. Electives must meet the requirements of your transferring institution. Students should coordinate with their advisor for transfer requirements.
