Math play an important role in our everyday life. Businesses function better with employees who have math skills. Barton's faculty is committed to helping you achieve this essential skill by providing innovative teaching using multimedia tech.
Barton Community College offers three math pathways. The pathways allow students to enroll in college-level mathematics course is relevant to the student's program of study. This helps students by progressing them through their program of study faster. Students pursuing a STEM program will enroll in either College Algebra or Calculus I. Students studying business and accounting may choose the STAT pathway. Student working in a non-STEM area such as the arts or humanities can choose the Liberal Arts pathway. Barton Community College's mathematics curriculum is designed to provide the general education requirement and core mathematics courses for students. Note that electives must meet the requirements of the transfer institution and students should coordinate with their advisor for transfer requirements.
Upon completion of Barton Community College's Math program, our students will be able to:
- Be able to communicate the justification for a theorem or mathematical concept
- Determine and analyze the relationships between data (numerical), functions, and graphs
