Start Strong. Transfer with Confidence.
Dental hygienists are licensed oral health professionals who play a vital role in promoting and maintaining oral wellness. Working under the supervision of a dentist, they provide preventive care, patient education, and therapeutic services to support lifelong dental health.
Most dental hygiene programs are associate degree programs, and Barton offers the ideal starting point. Our Pre-Professional Dental Hygiene pathway allows you to complete the first year of coursework—including general education and prerequisite science courses—before transferring to the dental hygiene program of your choice.
Please note: This degree track does not include clinical training and does not result in a professional credential. It is designed to prepare you for successful transfer into an accredited dental hygiene program.
