Barton Community College has reestablished a once-popular resource utilized by civic groups, local conferences and more – the Barton Speakers’ Bureau.

The bureau is a collection of presentations on myriad topics prepared and presented by experts at the college. Options range from motivational topics like perseverance and leadership and informative speeches on social support and mental wellness to more lighthearted and interesting presentations on history and the importance of art. There is no charge for this service.

Vice-President of Instruction Elaine Simmons said she remembers the original Speaker’s Bureau and how well-utilized it was.

“It was a popular option for the community and I’m excited for its return,” she said. “We are thankful for the nudge from community leadership to revive this resource and look forward to other opportunities to interact and respond to community needs.”

Those interested in booking a speaker should reach out to the college by sending an email to speakers@bartonccc.edu or calling (620) 792-9324. A complete list of speakers and presentations can be found at speakers.bartonccc.edu.
