Do you have your Social Security Number on file with Barton Community College?
Make sure you have a Social Security Number (SSN) on file with Barton. If you do not already have a SSN on file a hold will be placed on your account preventing you from obtaining a transcript. Call the Enrollment Services Office at (620) 792-9252 for your options in providing a social security number to Barton.
Electronic Transcript Procedure
Transcripts can be ordered via the Web 24/7 through the National Student Clearinghouse. You can place as many orders as you like in one session using any major credit card. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed. Order updates are available via mobile text message and will also be emailed to you. You can also track your order online using your email address and order number.
Your signed consent may be required to fulfill your transcript order. For your convenience, a consent form will be generated for your order that you can approve instantly online or return via fax, mail, or as a scanned email attachment.
Transcript Request Procedure by Mail or Fax
Send/fax/scan a signed written request. Barton Community College does not accept email requests. Print the Transcript Request Form to get started. If you are unable to download or print the request,
follow the directions below to ensure that you include all the required information in a written request.
- You will need Acrobat Reader installed on your machine to view and print the Transcript Request Form. Click on the link below to download the installation file.
- Include social security number.
- Address where you'd like the transcript sent.
- Payment of $5, payable by cash (not recommended), personal check, money order, and credit/debit card. (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover only) If paying with credit/debit card, please include expiration date
- Fax request to: (620) 786-1175 - please include phone number for point of contact and we encourage student to call to confirm arrival of fax.
- Mail request to: Barton Community College, Enrollment Services, 245 NE 30th Rd, Great Bend, Ks 67530
No one else (including a spouse, parent, etc.) may pick up your academic transcript without your written permission. Please identify in your request the name of the person who is authorized to obtain your transcript and include your original written signature.
Transcripts will not be issued if any financial obligations exist with Barton Community College.
End of Semester Transcripts
Processing end-of-semester transcripts may take up to a week due to the high volume of requests. If you will need a transcript released after your final grades have been posted, submit your request early in the semester to ensure timely processing. If you want your transcript to be sent after your current semester final grades are posted, select “Next Grading Period Transcript” rather than “Current Transcript.”
Unofficial transcripts are available online through your PAWS and MyBarton Portal account for those students that have no outstanding financial obligations on their accounts. Enrollment Services may provide an unofficial transcript to students that are currently enrolled in Barton classes. If a student is no longer enrolled in Barton classes, and a financial obligation exists, unofficial transcripts will not be provided to the student. Advisors and coaches may access unofficial transcripts for purposes of advising, but will not provide the unofficial transcripts to students or third parties outside the institution.
