Flexible scheduling is being rolled out as part of Barton’s “Summer Experience” program, making it possible for high school students to earn college credit while still enjoying their summer.
Whether they are already earning college credit or just getting started, high school students can take affordable summer classes at Barton Community College. Classes are available in morning, afternoon, and evening formats.
Students can choose from a variety of subjects, including English composition, psychology, biology, public speaking, creative writing, theatre, and more. Courses are typically offered Monday through Thursday and range from June through July sessions.
Barton continues to make early college access affordable, with tuition rates starting at $50 per credit hour for Kansas high school students.
Additionally, eligible Kansas high school students attending classes on the Barton County Campus this summer may qualify for a three-credit-hour scholarship through the Barton Foundation, further reducing the cost of earning college credit.
Enrollment is now open. New students can apply for admission online, while returning students can enroll through the MyBarton Portal. For more information or to view the full summer schedule, visit bartonccc.edu/highschool/summer.
