Uncover the Past. Shape the Future.
Geologists work to understand the Earth's history and the processes that continue to shape it. Their discoveries inform how we use natural resources and guide sustainable practices to protect the planet for future generations.
But geology is more than just identifying rocks. Geologists study major geochemical cycles—like the water, carbon, and rock cycles—and apply that knowledge to support fields such as biology, environmental science, and natural resource management.
At Barton, you’ll explore the Earth’s structure, its dynamic history, and strategies to help preserve the environment. Whether you're interested in research, conservation, or energy exploration, Barton’s Liberal Studies Program in Geology can help you launch a meaningful and exciting career.
