Barton Community College Construction Technology Program Coordinator Matt Mazouch attended the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Kansas and Build Up Kansas Conference in early November, where he was recognized as the 2025 Post-Secondary Instructor of the Year in the Western Region, and Barton was named the Post-Secondary School of the Year for the Western Region.

The Barton Community College Library will team up with the English department and Barton’s literary annual “Prairie Ink” staff to host a “Writer’s Workshop” from 6–7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 in the Cavanaugh Room of the Learning Resource Center and via Zoom.
The Barton Community College Theatre Department will hold two nights of auditions for its spring production of the musical “SpongeBob SquarePants,” from 6-9 p.m. Nov. 11 and 19 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
