The Barton Community College Library will team up with the English department and Barton’s literary annual “Prairie Ink” staff to host a writing workshop from 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 23 in the in the Barton Library in the Cavanaugh Room.

Barton will host its tenth annual Career Technical Education Fair for students grades 8-12 to learn about different career options on Friday, Feb. 7, and it will feature demonstrations, hands-on activities, and refreshments.
Barton Theatre will be holding auditions for the spring play “Student Directed One Acts.” All roles and technical positions will be cast.

Barton Community College offices and the Shafer Gallery will close for holiday break Dec. 19. through Jan. 1. All offices will reopen on Jan. 2.
Barton Community College will help area high school juniors plan for their futures at Junior Day, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 14. Those interested can sign up at juniorday.bartonccc.edu through Jan. 31.
Barton Community College’s Center for Adult Education is holding orientation days Jan. 13-16 with multiple times available in preparation for its next nine-week session of high school diploma classes, which will start Jan. 21 or 22, depending on which class sessions are signed up for.
