Nancy Wiebe resigned from the position of Executive Director of Institutional Advancement on Wednesday. The resignation is effective June 30, though cessation of duties is immediate.
Today, the Aspen Institute named Barton Community College as one of the 200 institutions eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s premier recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges.
The Barton Community College Instrumental Music Department will present a free Fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
As of Tuesday, October 21st, the drought monitor report indicates little change from last week for us.
Barton Community College hosted the Kansas Community College Corequisite Symposium on campus today, bringing together community college faculty, support staff, and administrators from across the state to share strategies, exchange ideas, and strengthen corequisite English and math instruction through guided discussions.
Barton Performing Arts Department and students invite the community to celebrate the creative side of the Halloween season with the free and family-friendly “Haunting on the Hill 5” event from 2–5 p.m. Oct. 25 in and around the Fine Arts Building.
