Barton Community College will present a student recital of instrumental and vocal performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel, located in the Fine Arts Building, F-157. The recital is free and open to the public.

Barton Community College will host its ninth annual Sidewalk Art Contest May 2-4 on the sidewalk outside the Shafer Art Gallery.
The contest is open to anyone who wants to participate. Artists need to register and pick up their free chalk at the Shafer Gallery between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on any of the three days. Artists must have their work completed by 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 4.

The Barton Theatre Department will hold its last performance of the school year, the Thespian Showcase, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 4 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
Barton’s Concert Choir performs at last year’s Endowment Concert. Scholarships funded by proceeds from the concert are a vital part of attracting new music students.

The Barton Planetarium will feature movies utilizing the full-dome projection system this spring. The Planetarium is located in the Science Building. Enter through the sliding doors on the north side. Admission is free.
