Barton Community College invites the public to take part in a series of free computer and digital literacy classes offered throughout June.
The drought monitor report as of Tuesday, May 27th shows marked improvement for the state with an increase from 19 to 30% of the state totally out of dry conditions.
Barton Community College will host a school bus, defensive driving, and CPR training course July 21-24.
Barton Dance Theatre’s popular “Dancing with the Cougars” classes have returned for the spring summer with a line dancing class from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. June 5 in Studio 34.
Barton Community College will no longer receive the federal grant that has supported the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), a vital service for older adults across the region, for nearly five decades.
Developmental education at Barton provides students with an opportunity to improve their basic math, reading, and/or writing skills.
Barton continually updates courses in the developmental program to develop more efficient instructional methods to help students achieve college-readiness and to decrease the cost to students in time and in money.

Barton Community College will be closed May 26 for Memorial Day. The college is now on summer hours. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The college will be closed on Fridays through July 25.
