Barton Community College has named 284 students to the President’s List for the spring 2020 semester. To qualify for this honor, students must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintained a grade point average of 4.0 on a 4.0 or "A" letter scale.

Barton English Instructor Michael Vick recently had an article published in “Innovation Abstracts” magazine by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD). NISOD is a membership organization committed to promoting and celebrating excellence in teaching, learning, and leadership at community and technical colleges.

The Barton Fine and Performing Arts Department would like to invite high school seniors with an interest in, music, dance, and theatre to apply and audition for 2020-2021 Performance Awards, Major Scholarships and performance ensembles via virtual auditions.

Awards range from $250 to $1500 per year. Scholarships for majors are $2,000 and can be combined with other academic and activity awards. Students can make arrangements with the instructors listed below to submit their audition via video or set up a time to audition virtually.

The Barton Food Pantry received a $2,000 donation from Krista Busch and Mike Hogan of Florida through the Pfizer Foundation Matching Gifts program last week.

Vice President of Student Services Angela Maddy said the donation will be very helpful and couldn’t have come at a better time.

Barton Community College has brought back the face-to-face version of its popular “Enrollment Days” sessions to prepare incoming students for the upcoming school year. Each date is currently limited to 15 students and sanitizing, and safety guidelines will be followed. Students will be given a mask if requested and are only allowed to bring one guest with them. Students can call (620) 792-9286 or visit enroll.bartonccc.edu to sign up. Students can also still sign up for a virtual session as well. The schedule is as follows:
