Cole Schwarz sworn in as newest Barton Community College Trustee

Local financial planner Cole Schwarz gave his oath of office and joined the Barton Community College Board of Trustees during the board’s meeting Tuesday evening.

Schwarz said he believes the college is a tremendous asset to Barton County and central Kansas.

Barton Music Department holds Summer Lessons and Virtual Recital

Barton Community College held its first-ever “Summer Virtual Student Recital” Friday featuring students who took advantage of the brand-new Summer Lessons program.

Summer lessons have not been offered in the past, but in light of the pandemic Barton Music Department administrators and faculty wanted to give music enthusiasts and Barton students the opportunity to take lessons on the instrument of their choice.
