The Barton Music Department will host metropolitan opera singer Hugo Vera as part of an evening of music that will feature a masterclass portion at 4 p.m. in the Chapel and a concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium March 8.
Barton Community College is reducing costs on online courses this spring for Kansas high school students from $155 per credit hour to $75. That’s a savings of over 50 percent per credit hour.

The Shafer Art Gallery will unveil its next exhibit “Ethereality,” by Hoisington artist Rodney Wood with a reception at 6:30 p.m. March 3, featuring a short artist talk, comments by the director, and light refreshments. Admission is free.
